Terrific Tuesday!

After a crazy, fun, what-happened-to-our-relaxing weekend, the two of us decided to try to figure out a sleep/eat pattern for Kaylena. So, as of yesterday we started this chart to see when her natural "patterns" are so we can help develop some sort of a schedule-ish for her. It was actually quite interesting to see it during the day. Putting it on paper, it made me realize why most of the time I have unfinished projects when Jason gets home....these were the cards I was writing while she wanted to be held.... these were the receipts I was filing in the filing cabint across the room while she wanted to be walked... these were the clothes that I was folding while she was sleeping... and look what I found on Craigs list while she was eating... :) It's definitely a new experience, but still pretty fun.

Oh! and yesterday (Monday) I think she smiled like an actual response to something, for the first time instead of just the random smiles. It was really neat. Another really neat thing is that once a day while she's eating I read a talk from the Ensign Conference Issue. So, yesterday was Elder Holland's 'The Ministry of Angels'. So I start reading,
"When Adam and Eve willingly stepped into mortality, they knew this telestial world would contain thorns and thistles and troubles of every kind. Perhaps their most challenging realization, however, was not the hardship and danger they would endure but the fact that they would now be distanced from God, separated from Him with whom they had walked and talked, who had given them face-to-face counsel."

...about the time she lets out a random crazy scream, and I'm thinkin, "what?!" and then start laughing because I realized she probably is still a little sensitive about the whole coming to this earth thing.... well, that's why we have families, to all hang in here and help each other make it back home again!
