We Can Still Be Nice

We woke up early this morning to check the news because of the random rain/hail/50mph winds to make sure there wasn't a tornado we were sleeping through. When we didn't see Rick, Gary or Mike, we knew it wasn't serious (hahaha). Jason made a grrrrreat breakfast and 2/3 of us went back to sleep while the other 1/3 went into serious cleaning/organizing mode which is quite refreshing. Nontheless, this has nothing to do with the title of the post today. :)

So, the classic Charlie Brown's Christmas lyrics.....
Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of the year
Snowflakes in the air
Carols everywhere
Olden times and ancient rhymes
Of love and dreams to share
Sleigh bells in the air
Beauty everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there
Christmas time is here
We'll be drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year...
it's like a couple days after Christmas and has everyone already forgotten the Spirit of Christmas...take stuff down... be grouchy again? We can still do nice things for people after Christmas, (thanks Dad) right? Even though our Christmas was a lil' different this year, I'm glad we have family and friends to surround ourselves with and hopefully we can keep that "spirit through the year" !!!! :)

I totally agree! Why wait a whole year to find happiness in family, friends, and service? They are things we can have all year. I am glad you had a good Christmas, but it is sad that the "lights, music, and atmosphere" have to be put away.
