Well, since we've started this, we haven't really figured out what the purpose is. It's not quite where we want to 'journal', but it is fun to let our family and friends see what is going on if they don't see us every day... or every week. So, this is an attempt to be a bit more personal, and bit more of an update.
We have been very blessed when it comes to Kaylena's clothes. I think we've only bought one pack of 'stylish' onsies when she was a few months old, just cause we thought it would be fun to buy something for our girl. Of course, they were gender neutral so we can save them! :) But between hand-me-downs and gifts from our family and neighbors, they have been dressing her for us. Of course, we don't always dress her with the ideal clothes.... why not add in our own style? I mean, we may not buy the clothes, but we're the ones that put them on her....!

This is an example of 4 hand-me-down articles of clothing. First and second, the white onsie and white socks are not that significant. Then comes the overalls we're pretty sure we got from our friends with boys. And finally, the striped hoodie shirt thing. (I am a sucker for anything with a hood). Who says camo can't be a cute adorable little girl thing!? Although, her purple Eddie the Elephant defeats the purpose of the camo.
Our next bragging moment comes just recently. We've heard horror stories of how kids play in their diaper while you're trying to change it. So... before Kaylena gets any ideas, we worked with her to get her to hold her feet while we change it. It took about a week, and she still needs our verbal cue, "Hold your feet!", but she at least grabs her toes or socks while we change her.

Sure, you see and hear of those intellectually brilliant kids who can name and locate all the countries of Africa, play Mozart by memory, and perform opera like they're 40. But seriously, compared to a 4 1/2 month old who can hold her own feet for you while you change her diaper!? I'll take the clean hands and turn the radio on for the other stuff any day!!! We just hope she keeps it up!

Oh she's so cute! I miss her! Bring her to me! BTW - we ripped up that check!
You have her trained to hold her own feet!!?!? That is amazing she needs to teach Trae that trick.
