School's Out For the Summer!

So they say.

Although school is out until August, we seem just as busy as ever. Weddings, receptions, funerals, graduations, and luckily the baby showers aren't 'till later this year. Luckily, everything seemed to be scheduled in a way that we could attend most.



School may be out, but work has just begun for Jason. His plan is to build up our back patio that we tore down a year ago. We've got 1/4 of the lumber in the garage, and he's got an awesome game plan that should get the job done before school starts again.


We also got a late start on our garden, but that should be up n' grownin pretty soon here. We turned the dirt, added good-growing-stuff, and the seeds are ready. Hopefully we didn't wait too late in the season to take advantage of a backyard grocery store.


The random house projects are still on the list, and we should be knocking those out inbetween our big projects and trips to a wedding, reunion, and birthday celebration. So much for not going anywhere this year.... :)


Kaylena is doing awesome too at adjusting to her parents. She's still crawling like crazy, has been able to crawl then sit, then crawl and sit for the past week. And it seems that the past few days has been really attempting to walk/cruise/something.. by standing on her feet with her hands in the ground, or pulling herself up on random things to stand, which now only requires one hand most of the time. Crrrrrazy.



For me, this summer should include working as much as I can, but not too much.




A few pics from a weekend getaway we took about a month ago. Kaylena went to Grandma and pa's in Yukon, and the two of us used our free Bed n' Breakfast stay and visited the Arts Festival!
