A new skill

This is actually a picture from our summer travels...but I'm using it to go along with a story. Sleeping. We do it everyday. For Kaylena, she does it 3 times a day. Well, once at night, and twice during the day.
Today was no different. Going down for her morning nap consists of putting her in her pack n' play with soft toys and in about 15 minutes she'll either still playing or sleeping. Great, right!?
Well, maybe today WAS different. During breakfast she discovered the tabs that keep the diaper on...and how to get them off. (Is that enough foreshadowing for you?)
She did her normal talking to herself in her pack n' play after being put down, but then started crying. I walked by and figured she needed her diaper changed.
WRONG!
She had already taken her poopy diaper off for me! Isn't that soo helpful! She also tried to clean up down there, but unfortunately didn't have any wipes, so just used her hand.
Don't worry, a jump in the tub, multiple washes of baby and stuff, bleach clean up, then child friendly sanitizer worked great!
Moral of the story: from now on, she must always wear a onsie. :)

I can't stop laughing!!! She is a genius, and SUPER helpful! I have heard that putting the diaper on backwards helps with this problem. Good Luck!!!

haha- thanks mom! I think it'd be easier if she was walking first though. Well, no, I guess she already can climb and, she can walk holding onto the walls...hmm... :)

Kellee- thanks for the backwards idea- I'd never even thought of that!

I think every parent deals with this trauma at one point or another! Just laugh about it, it's so much more fun that way, and she'll love the stories when she's older! Love ya!
