My Miss Monkey

Well, summer has made it's mark as the days are longer, bug bites occur daily and there's a bit extra free time to think of ways to save money.  I'm not sure what it would be like to have a family that doesn't have a summer.  You mean to tell me that some people work all year round?!  That's just insanity! :)  Having a teacher husband does have it's benifits.  Sure he's off from teaching all summer, but he has his side job of major-home-rennovation-er.  And my side job of figuring out if a project requires a pro.  It's nice and I love it.

Our lil' one is not so lil' anymore.  As of 2 days ago she can pull up her cute lil' shorts after getting a diaper change, and as of this afternoon- did NOT want to wear a diaper, but wanted the 'panties' which are actually training pants, which are actually just as thick as diapers..........??

Miss Monkey is just that.  She loooves her purse and has to take it with us packed full of her dinosaurs, cell phone, balls, and Daddy's hotwheels.  OH! and of course her water.  In this past month she has discovered pockets, how to unroll the TP and bring it to the kitchen to show me, new signs daily, Primary nursery song actions (complete with popcorn popping sound effects), climbing on the kitchen table to eat the cheerios, opening her aunts door just to turn around and shut it again and send the rest of us in a panic(how DO you loose ONE child?), waving to people and absolutely positively refusing to stop waving until they acknowledge her with a wave back, coloring circles, inventing games called "la-la duuuune", yelling Da-da Da-da Da-da at the top of her lungs when she's trying to get my attention, saying "cheese" for the camera, facial expressions that CRACK me up to accompany her signs for "where?", "outside", and "don't know", and of course: sleeping!

Night Miss Monkey! :)
oh- and Happy Father's Day to her Da-da
