Yes, we've been sick. Stressed. Sick. Job-Hunting. Sick. Our couple weeks of bathtub dishwashing has ended. To be replaced with a sink with buckets underneath both sides. We still have drywall on the floor because we need to clean up the shop vac from the bathroom remodel in order to clean up the drywall from behind the not-fully-set-in-place oven. We have one countertop with the sink on it, and the "desk" in the kitchen has turned into our very own appliance center. Still no dishwasher. We are using paper goods. I am killing the earth.
Or:
Yes, we've been out of it for a month. Sick. Blessed with gainful employment in a better district. Kitchen-wise, luckily we still have hot water so we were able to do our dishes in the bathtub while we had no sink. We still have drywall littering the floor behind the moved out oven because our shop-vac still holds the 'memories' of our master bathroom demolition. We have a dishwasher, just not one that doesn't leak when it's installed. Our power is still on, AND as of last night, our heater (that has not worked all winter) has been fixed! Hallelujah! We were blessed during our month of sickness with family family family taking care of us and our adopted grandmother next door making sure that we had a ham Christmas dinner that she brought from her own Christmas dinner.
So:
Yes, I or a member of my family has missed church more than we've been there this month. Are you concerned for our salvation and stuff?
No, I don't care that some people think that if you're 'tired' you should be at church because they obviously know me better than I do myself.
Yes, I appreciate those calls from a concerned friend that leave a message to say, "I hope you're staying home from church today. You need the rest."
No, I'm not pregnant with half a dozen kids running around the house, I just have one 2-year old.
Yes, I am exhaused.
No, I/we don't hate the world.
Yes, we are taking time to build and strengthen our own little family before we can lift others up.
No, we're not moving this year.
Yes, I am grateful for my extended family who takes off work to take care of my ONE child so that I can sleep and take care of the one growing inside of me while I'm sick.
No, I didn't mean to get my sister sick. :(
Yes, We are excited to have a baby boy.
No, I still don't care to hear the list of things "you" accomplished while you were pregnant including your perfectly clean house/car/half-dozen children/weekly dinners/ service dinners to all the sick people in your area AND all while your husband was gone/at work/doing other things. Congrats.
Yes, I feel much better now. :)
Well.....it's true!
OH! "And where's the updated blog?"
sheesh. I just never got around to it, okay?

That's the way to stick it to them! I'm sorry you are getting comments/questions about why you are not at church or doing other things. People need to keep their opinions to themselves. I'm glad you are feeling better and hope things continue to stay that way.
Amen to ALL of your comments~I think you actually stated it all VERY NICELY.
My list would have alot more ***#@@*'s in it !
Poeple need to look inward when they want to point and wag their fingers outward with "you should's" !!
I recently heard a member of my family say...."if those people are going to be in heaven, I want to go to @#ll.
And NO Calista~it wasn't me who said it.
Love ya ALWAYS !!
Momma !!
Even when you're cranky you're awesome and hilarious (although I'm sure you're fired up, so I'm sorry if that caught you at an offendable moment. I really do love you) and you two are so amazing I don't understand how anyone could judge. Honestly.
And I think the Earth will forgive you when it sees how adorable your boy is going to be.
Thanks guys
And thanks Randi :) I'm totally NOT in an offendable moment. AND am glad that I have been forgiven by the Earth...hopefully! :o)
The earth has to forive our household these past 2 weeks. Since your sister was sick~all of her gatorade bottles went in the trash..since she couldn't even make it to the recycle outside.....UGG.....it was a difficult thing to see...and not take them out...BUT too many germies !
We too have hurt the earth this past month.
Sigh..
Love
Momma !
