Well, as the "Welcome to the World" time for this lil' baby boy approaches, we are trying to slowly prepare for his arrival. One of the great preparations that Kaylena has been doing for us is waking up around 3 or 4 every morning and coming into our bedroom. (Although she does go to dada) Which, now that I think of it, that's the time I get up to do one of my nightly bathroom runs so I'm up anyway......oh well. Most of the time it's up for a wet diaper change and maybe some water and it's back to bed.
THIS morning though, I got up a bit before she had gotten up, so I was AS QUIET AS POSSIBLE getting up and back to bed. My success was short lived though, because about 5 minutes later she started her sleep talking, and in 5 more minutes was in the bedroom, "Dada! Diaper!" She went back down quite easily, which was a surprise considering the past couple nights have turned into hour long ordeals of returning the escaped child back to HER bed over and over and over.
It was of course then, the night that I was the one with an hour long ordeal. Up, not able to sleep, trying to find something quiet AND productive to do, doing some yoga, taking a shower, and deciding that if I'm still up and awake I'm going to the grocery store because we need to do it anyway and it'll probably be faster if I go now (at 4:30am) and while Kaylena is sleeping so we can do other stuff during the day.
Jason decided that he needed to provide input on the shopping list and eventually Kaylena was up to join us as well. So instead of leaving her here to keep J awake since he IS the one that had to work in the morning, we asked the question, "Do you want to stay here and sleep or go with mama to the store?" LOL the look on her face was SOO funny. :) and yes, she came with me.
(it was NOT this light, it's a city-map photo of Crest)
We got all the grocery shopping done, back home, ate some waffles, and crashed on the couch. We'll see how the rest of today goes, but I probably won't be doing that every week- talk about TIRING! :)
So: Baby Bubba, we did a trial run of getting up and staying up this morning and we ALL are excited about seeing your cute face at all hours of the night/morning. :)

Yay! I'm so excited for your new arrival. So, you do yoga? Do you have a specific video or person you use? I love yoga, I just haven't found the ONE yet.
