Friday was a fun day.  It seemed to go a lot quicker with the extra kiddo when we had a carseat for the extra kiddo so I could take everyone to the park in the morning.  Yes, we might request that again. :)  After an early morning park adventure, we went visiting teaching.  It was a lot of fun and this was the first time we had been out to visit this sister- we missed last month when the lists changed- and I think that this is really a companionship and sister-visit that is truly called of God.  I mean, they all are, but this one I can see potential.

Then we loaded back up, did a quick note drop-off and headed home for "nap" time.  Hahahahahahahahahah Yeah- that didn't happen.  I would say "quiet time" but that didn't happen either.  What DID happen though, was that they were both in Kaylena's room for a good hour and a half.  That's exactly what I needed.  An hour and a half.  An hour and a half.....hehe.  So after they "woke up" I sent everyone outside again to play in the backyard- and I joined them.  Then, decided the grass had gotten tall again, so I did some quick mowing and then we call came in and made Money so that they could buy Marshmallows!  At first it was $1 for 1 Marshmallow, then inflation hit and it ended up being $2/marshamallow.  Oh well, the movie and popcorn were free. haha- I think they liked the whole "buying" thing, and I sent home Ben's money with him.

After Ben left, Jason was still doing his power nap- so we got him up and headed out to the other side of town to see my grandma and my two aunts that were in town visitng her.  When we were down at her center, we also saw my cousin and her grandbaby, Cali, who is just a month younger than Joseph!  They LOVED it when the AC kicked on....hehe.  Then, we headed down to my parent's place to give the kids baths and such.  Joseph pooped out before we got him in the car, and they were both asleep by the time we got home!

Last week since it was the letter M- it worked out perfectly to talk about President Monson for General Conference this weekend!  We started out the morning with a quick tamales and pancakes for breakfast; walked down to the park (that seemed a bit farther than I remember....) with me pushing the kids in the double stroller and Jason riding our his new bike!  He really liked it, and I really liked that all the kids doing the easter egg hunt weren't interested in playing on the playground.  So we had an early lunch there...Joseph eating literally a SAND-wich...loaded them up and Jason pushed the stoller and I rode the bike back.
Conference, of course was amazing.  This year we had a coloring packet for Kaylena to do, and Joseph's doing alright with the crayons as well so that kept them quiet AND in the room for quite a while.  Joseph fizzled out to play first and Kaylena did occasionally too, but she always came back if she heard the choir, President Monson, President Eyring or President Uchtdorf.  It was cute.  After the first session, we were thinking how fun it'd be to actually go out to eat as a family somewhere, so we hit up a relatively new BBQ place called Dickey's.  OOOH SOOO Wonderful!
Probably what made it more amazing was the fact that the servers and owners kept oohing and aww-ing over Joseph and just how cute he was and his eyes and so threw in a couple extra drinks for the kids and a couple sides.  This kid knows how to work the ladies!! :) Heehehehe

The afternoon session was nice because the kids had fallen asleep after lunch- so Jason and I had some good time to focus on the messages without distraction.

Then, we went outside because it was soo beautiful today (and almost on the side of hot), gave Apollo a bath and washed out our old sandbox that just had mud in the bottom, to fill with water for our little swimming hole.  It was a lot of fun!  I just had to snag this picture though because normally the things Joseph does I haven't been able to label as "boy."  Today however.....the baked beans must have gotten to him cause he was rippin' up a storm, and then while we were all playing, I looked over and saw him just "chilling" on this push car backwards.  He sat there like that for a good while too.  Seriously!  He's a month shy of One! :) This kid has got the moves.
