Happy Sabbath Mother's Day.
This was Kaylena riding home from Grandma and Grandpa Goat's house. :) "weeeeee!"

Addition 5/14/12: I realized this morning that I failed to mention a few monumental things about yesterday.  I first would like to say that I now have a better understanding about the neccessity of becoming as a little child.

In Matthew 18:3 it says, "...Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little chilren, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

Since I have been serving as the YW President, I've realized that if as adults we would just do our duty, the youth and children that we are called to serve would be at a greater advantage.  I remember thinking that when Jason was in the Bishopric, but I must have forgotten because it just came to me again yesterday (Sunday).  I also realize that this is first essential in our homes.  Become converted to the gospel, become converted to our families and become converted to our divine calling as mothers and fathers in Zion.

Which leads me to have more appreciation for my mother who "raised the next generation of responsible citizens" and Jason's mother who also raised a successful righteous son and siblings.

Also- yesterday (Sunday) was the traditional Mother's Day singing by the Primary children in Sacrament meeting.  It was neat that they picked a non-traditional Primary song, but I honestly couldn't tell you much more of what it said or sounded like than something about "angels near my crib".  We had preped Kaylena with "after this lady sits down, you are going to go up and sing a song with your friends and we will sit here and watch you."  She was very hesistant, even when we mentioned her friends Abby, Emmett and Zeke would be up there.  Finally it was the Primary's turn and so I told her to look for Abby to go up with (because we sit in the front, there was a slight delay until kids came up).  VERY surprising to us, she saw Abby and practically ran out of the pew to go up with her.  Kaylena did very well and did the classic stand in teh front with a couple others from her class and hang her arms over the stand.  She was all smiles and then they started singing and she was still similing, but wasn't singing, then that turned into a concerned look, then the bottom lip came out and her head fell in her hands.  It was soooo sad! :(  Eventually she turned around and some of the older kids showed her the way off the stand (all while still singing).  She came off and sat down with us and we told her what an awesome job she did.  Seriously!  It was sooo neat that she actually went up there with the Primary.  What courage that took for her!!!

Unfortunately or fortunatly, she also had her first talk in Primary.  We bypassed the letter of the week this week, and worked on her talk and the application.  It was an amazing week and I think that it really benefitted our whole family....even if she didn't want to go up in front of the Primary and did her whole "limp-body-fake-sleeping" thing.  So, I carried her up there and we got out her paper that she and I wrote her talk on and thankfully she didn't throw a crazy fit, just didn't want to look at anyone.  So, I said her talk, "When I choose the right, Jesus is happy.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."  She was a bit clingy, but she finally scooted off of me and I left her standing against the wall since she didn't want to sit down again with her class.  I looked in like a minute later though, and she was totally fine.  Probably just quite anxious about what ELSE out of the ordinary would happen!  She is totally a girl of predictability- even though we got to church early and we went and practiced her talk in the primary room on the podium in front of her friend Zeke.  I guess visualization techniques aren't applicable to 3 year olds. :)

And....now that I have everything out that I should have put last night but was too tired- I'll now move on with my day.
