Sometimes the computer works, sometimes it doesn't.  Sometimes I work, sometimes I don't.  We have pictures, but it's not recognizing something about something and it's too late to think about it.  Well, we've officially bought and paid for our kitchen, now we're enjoying the 6-8 week waiting game for arrival, our personal work of installing the cabinets, then the counter people coming and another 4 weeks to get that ordered and then who knows how long for THEM to install it and us to finish up the upper cabinets.  I think I'm excited, but I can't quite tell because the only thing different is the $4890 gone from our bank account and our kitchen looks the same. :)  Looking forward though,  I have a feeling we will all be QUITE excited.  This Christmas. hehehehe

So our tasks now involve cleaning out our house like we are moving, having a quick-garage sale to quickly sell random things at randomly low prices and hopefully find our one neighbor that we meet at every stinkin' garage sale we have, but can never remember where she lives (somewhere down the street and around the bend....) so we need to find her again, and finishing up recovering our dining room table chairs that were started back when my grandma was in town for Joseph's birthday!  It's so hot outside, I'm surprised they're not all done yet.  I have been working about 3 days a week though so, that's probably why.  When I get home we have family fun instead of "me creating a new look" fun.  This is my last week of crazy working though- so it's on our list. :) 2 are done and it makes the others look so so so so bad though!  I can't wait to finish those up.

We're also on the OGE smart hours which gives us a super low KWtt/hour price 7:01pm to 1:59pm but from 2-7 in the afternoon it's higher because that's when it costs the most to create electricity.  So, we signed up for that and it's been fun to think of different things we can do during that 2-7 slot of time.  Most days we just shut all the excess off: computers, tvs, lights, no dishwasher, washing machine etc.; but the past two days have been "critical peaks" where the pricing has been super high around 4-6ish, so we've actually turned up our AC to around 87 and hit the road!  Yesterday we went to Chuck-E-Cheese to redeem a Good Listening chart for Kaylena for 10tokens.  We bought a Manzanita Sol (which didn't seem as good as the kind in a bottle) and let Kaylena go as crazy as an inexperienced game-playing 3 3/4 year old can be and hung out to watch some shows.  It was the perfect atmosphere and a fun cool place for us to hang out as a family.  I also printed off our free bowling passes, but will probably print again to use next week.  Jason suggested Chuck-E one week and Bowling the next and I think it's a GREAT idea!

Well, the dishwasher's running so it's time for bed.

Hi Sweltering Citizens of Never Never Land ( 100's for the foreseeable future),

What a great innovative idea to escape the heat and have fun at the same time - good for you.

I hang out at the senior center for part of the day and have lunch there, get on the computer, do jig saw puzzles and socialize - all the while my thermostat is turned down at home. Multiple goals accomplished.

Love, GGMa
