...these were words spoken by my Dr. during my Tuesday, March 22nd weekly checkup as she took off her glove, tossed it in the trash and made a note in my chart of what she had just felt.
Knowing that after we heard those words with our lil' pumpkin, she came a week later...our assumption was that we had about a week or two to get ready to meet our lil' bubba!
Excitement, anxiety, anticipation, and stress began as we realized that although our due date of April 19th was still a month away, "He'll be here anytime" to us meant GET READY NOW!!!
And so...I finished out the week of work, let my future jobs know of the upcoming events and my need to get ready, got replacements set up, starting doing the bills more frequently, and tried to find a list of what to take to the birthing center because I could not think of anything to bring besides clothes for me and the baby.....Oh yeah, we should probably find the carseat.
Monday the 28th was another appointment with no change besides an increased blood pressure to 130/80. Not a problem though, because now we are EXACTLY where we were with Kaylena- 37 weeks, and she came the next week. Okay, NOW we're serious about having an April Fool's Baby!!!
April 1 came and went. General Conference Weekend (which I wanted to be home for anyway) came and went. Another Dr.'s appointment came on Tuesday the 5th and went without any change in me or the baby. (Besides that my bp was back down to normal this week! 110/60)
So....I'm takin it easy. Well, as easy as I can with a lil' one and an even smaller one that SITS on my leg nerves/ lower back. My doctor suggested that next week we talk about inducing. I told her that if everything is fine with me and the baby I'd just like to wait. She tried to convince me that they could schedule it as far out at the last day of my 40th week. My response was, "I don't see why I can't just let him cook a bit longer if he's okay, I'm okay, and he needs to stay in there a bit." She said that was fine, but that she wouldn't let me go a day past 42 weeks. "Agreed." I think that's only fair though, to give the kid as much time as he needs. Maybe he's on Choate time....lol. :o)
Anyway, whenever he decides to come, we'll be here.....although a Friday after school would be nice because then Jason could have a whole weekend and THEN take his 5 days, then another weekend before he had to go back to work. :)
We'll just wait n' see.
