So, my sister LOVES Disney. Like, a lot. She's been the predominately Disney Aunt who stocks Kaylena up with the basic Disney accessories, such as clothes! Well, normally they are quickly welcomed and loved instantly by Kaylena, but two grey shirts have been in her closet for quite a while without ever being worn. Every time they are up up against another outfit, the Other wins. Every time that's the only choice of shirt, but there is a choice of 2 pants, she will have split something, washed her hands and gotten her sleeves wet, or some other catastrophe causing an almost immediate change of attire. So today, I tried my last feat. I put on a grey shirt. Then asked Kaylena which shirt she wanted to wear: the minnie with long sleeves and a polka dot red dance skirt, or mickey and minnie with sparkles and a flower in minnie's hat and mickey jumping up and down like "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam". Good sales pitch eh? :)
Well, the verdict was still negative, so I pulled out the, "Okay, you pick one for you, and then pick one for Joseph." Which worked AMAZINGLY well. She picked out the long sleeve so she could "be like you mama!" and Joseph wore the sparkly short-sleeved 4T that fit pretty well except for it was majorly long. And out in public we went. Library and Playgroup, then later in the afternoon Aldi and Target. No one seemed to do a double take on my sparkly-shirt wearing son, and Kaylena was just as cute in her least-favorite color- grey as any other color she picks.
