Well, it's been a while.  Jason took the computer to school on Thursday and left the cord there on Friday, and since our batter is technically dead and thus requires a constant source of energy, we didn't do the blog stuff all weekend.  Then Monday I didn't get home till after midnight.  And thus it is....

Random picture of the night is this first one.  Joseph was playing in his room with some books, and next thing I know, i walked by and Kaylena had closed the door and barracaded him in his room. .....
Thursday was a fun day- at playgroup a lady brought stuff and ideas to make musical instruments which fit in perfectly with our "music appreciation" week.  Kaylena enjoyed making the instruments, but by the end was definitely over-stimulated and ready to go.  So, we took a nice drive in the truck and headed home.  Unfortunately, when I left for a meeting that night, she didn't like the idea of me leaving and her staying and kind of threw the same kind of fit.  Which was really weird because she knows and loves Joan- so I'm not sure what happened.  Joan said that eventually she calmed down though.

Friday was a fun day- we had a catch-up and play day.  Then Friday night I had another meeting- this time at the church and Jason and the kids came with me to play and such.  That went very well, and everyone in attendance got excited about the changes that we thought were going to be made on Easter Sunday, then the past Sunday, but hadn't yet....

Saturday morning I worked at Sorenson, then came back around lunch time.  Jason had the kids down for a nap, so we took the opportunity to work on his LAST paper for the semester.  It's a research paper about teaching metalanguage in the L2 classroom.  It's pretty interesting and since I can type a lot faster, I enjoy reading/typing the information that he's found.

Then after the kids woke up, I was antsy to do something family-oriented, so we headed off to a park to play for a bit- then searched out a new place to dine.  We tried Qdoba which we've heard great things about AND saw that kids eat free on Saturday!! EVEN better.  Everyone got fed/stuffed, and we went home with some leftovers for just under $13.00.  The perfect treat!!  This month we've been working on watching where our spending goes-specifically.  There's just always too much in the "Other/Misc" catagory.  Our food budget of $300 seems to be set at the right amount and it was fun to do have a beans and rice, rice and beans week finished off at a new dream favorite!!  The only food that doesn't count is Joseph's formula.... that would be a whole other thing....hehe but eating out, and grocery is combined and we've been blessed!
And Sunday, after a week of "not having an offical calling, but still being involved with the Scouts because he's one of the leaders going on the high adventure trip", Jason got called as the Sunday School President- which he's VERY sad about leaving the YM's- but is glad he can still be invovled a little bit- and is exicted about learning new things in this calling.  I got called as the Young Women's President and have since felt as if I'm running being a moving train.  It's better than being in front, but there's just a lot to coordinate with Sunday, Wednesday, Camp, Stake Activities.  The thing I'm excited to focus on though is loving those girls.  They're good ones, and they should know it!

Monday my grandma flew in from California- so I picked her up at the airport around 10:50, so dropped her off at my parent's place and drove back home- hense not getting home till after midnight.

Today we surprised them by coming out to visit so we could do lunch there and then go fabric shopping.  Grandma is going to help us recover our dining room chairs and I'm SOO excited!!  Also, the last picture is a photo of the excitement of Joseph helping me pay the bills today.  Pretty much every pile/newspaper/toy/item was dropped, thrown, drooled on or brought to me.  It's okay though, cause everything got done.
